Lincoln Bus respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, how that information is handled, and which external services are used.
1. Information We Use
Lincoln Bus uses the following information to provide app features:
- Location information: Used to find nearby StarTran bus stops. Location information is processed on your device and is not sent to our own servers.
- Saved preferences: Favorite stops, favorite routes, app settings, and premium status are saved on your device.
Lincoln Bus does not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, or other directly identifying contact information.
2. External Services
Lincoln Bus uses the following external services:
- StarTran / City of Lincoln, NE and Connexionz: Used to retrieve transit data, including schedules, live vehicle positions, and trip updates.
- Firebase Storage: Used to download transit schedule data files needed by the app.
- Firebase Analytics: Used to understand app usage and improve the app. Analytics events do not include your name, email address, or phone number.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Used to collect crash reports and improve app quality. Crash reports may include device and app diagnostic information, but they are not used to identify you personally.
- Google Mobile Ads: Used to show ads in the free version of the app. Google may use device identifiers and ad-related information according to its own policies. You may remove ads by purchasing Premium.
- StoreKit: Used to process the one-time Premium purchase through Apple. Payment information is handled by Apple, not by Lincoln Bus.
3. App Tracking Transparency
Lincoln Bus may request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt to show more relevant ads and measure ad performance. You can allow or deny this permission in iOS Settings.
4. Data Storage
Favorite stops, favorite routes, and app settings are stored locally on your device.
- These saved preferences are not sent to our own servers.
- You can delete this data by uninstalling the app.
5. Sharing of Information
Lincoln Bus does not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by the external services listed above to provide transit data, diagnostics, analytics, ads, and purchase processing.
6. Children's Privacy
Lincoln Bus is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
